Today is a big day for me! After breaking my right leg night-skiing almost 6 months ago, X-rays are showing that the tibia is finally back into one piece.

It was a very complex break. My surgeon had to implant a fair bit of metal to put the bone back together. Thanks to her skills, in spite of all the damage I have done to my leg, I am walking!

This is another opportunity to express my gratitude to all the people who have been involved in this whole accident, from the Salmo Ski Patrol, the Salmo ambulance paramedics, the staff at Trail Hospital, my orthopedic surgeon, and of course my wife, who has dedicated herself to my care during such a long period.

I have not been completely inactive during the last few months,

As soon as I was well enough to move around with my crutches, I was on the go, albeit at half speed or less:

  • I designed and built two large signs for another local artisan, Melanie (Water over Leaves Tea), just in time for the inauguration of her new studio: https://wateroverleaves.com/.
  • I built several beehives for a few of my local customers.
  • I built prototypes and designed some new beehive components and accessories, and improved the design of some of my older components.
  • My bee colonies required a lot of my time and attention, and after a very eventful spring and a lot of learning, I ended up with 6 colonies.
  • I also recovered from a website crash, and I am in the process of upgrading it.

However, despite all this activity, I was waiting for my tibia to heal before I could restart marketing activities and seek new orders.

And today, it is official, I am open for business, I can handle new work.
