I just finished adding a black cherry inlay (that is another first) on the first table that I made.
I am very excited at the success of this first project. It is outstanding even before it is oiled and waxed.
The feet of the table were custom forged by Peter of Salmo Metal Arts Studio . As usual he made a gorgeous work that enhances my table tremendously.
I made a short video of the inlay process and some shots of the finished table with the feet and posted on Utube.
It was the first inlay I did and it came out perfect. I love the choice of the black cherry as it is soft enough that it does not stand out too much.
I will post some pictures once I oil this table and wax it.
