Description
This feeder kit comes with a wooden feeder block, a pre-drilled mason lid, a mason ring and a short entrance reducer
The lid has four small holes.
Remove the full-size entrance reducer and insert the feeder on the left or right side of the entrance.
A one-litre regular mouth mason jar can be used with this feeder.
Fill up the jar with sugar water tighten the lid and insert it in the portman feeder.
The sugar water will not flow freely but the bees will come and suck it from the holes in the lid.
Benefits:
The Portman bee feeder is external to the hive.
No need to open the hive, increase the hive space, or consume space inside the hive to add a feeder
It can only be reached from inside the hive.
