Description
The inner cover is an important component of your beehive as it can be used in many different ways including:
1 – to provide air flow or an entrance at the top of the hive
2 – to use as a honey super clearing screen (with a porter bee escape)
3 – to use as a platform for a bee feeder
• The inner cover is built of a sturdy spruce frame and board;
• It has a notch on one side to provide air flow and allow bee passage;
• It can be used either with the exit up or down depending on the season and on your preference;
• The hole in the inner cover accepts PORTER BEE ESCAPES. This will allow you to use the inner cover between brood box and honey super for clearing the honey super of bees when it is time to harvest honey.
